25 years of MOPA

In June 1998, MOPA Motorparts was founded in Troisdorf-Bergheim by Burghard Müller along with a partner. Starting with a small team, the company entered the European market, specializing in OEM replacement parts for water-cooled Deutz engines. In 2000, the product range was expanded to include air-cooled Deutz engines, driving the company’s growth.

In 2007, Richard Müller, son of Burghard Müller, joined the company after completing his business studies, while the partner exited the business. Richard Müller expanded the offering to include OEM replacement parts for MAN Trucks & Bus engines. By 2008, he took on co-responsibility and played a significant role in the company’s development. Under his leadership, the product range was continuously expanded: in 2009 to include Mercedes engines, in 2010 to MWM gas engines, and in 2012 to MTU engines. A larger office and the installation of a photovoltaic system in 2020 marked further milestones.

Today, MOPA has an international presence with a network spanning Europe, America, the Arab world, and the Far East. Since 2018, the company has been training apprentices, and since 2021, it has been an official Bosch distribution partner. The Crefo certificate, which has been awarded regularly since 2020, confirms the company’s exceptional creditworthiness. With around 30 employees, MOPA now serves 3,000 customers from 106 countries and reliably supplies even very old engines with OEM replacement parts.
